JB Labs was established in 1977 by John Otting and Bill Baker—the "J" and the "B" of JB Laboratories. Since the beginning, JB Labs has focused on the value of lasting relationships. In fact, some of our largest customers today are the same ones who helped to build the business in the early years.

In 1992, John Otting retired. Bill Baker took the opportunity to offer Otting's shares to employees, creating the employee ownership model that continues today.

Since its founding, JB Labs has experienced steady growth, focusing on the creation of Valuactive partnerships with marketers of OTC pharmaceutical products, solid dosage nutritional supplements, and nutritional fortification products.
